Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using OpsToolbox for AWS ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

OpsToolbox for AWS is a native iOS application that connects to your AWS accounts via your own credentials to display infrastructure metrics, alarms, costs, and resource status. The App also allows write actions (redeploying services, scaling, rebooting instances) for Pro subscribers.

3. Your AWS Account

You are solely responsible for your AWS account, credentials, and any actions performed through the App.
The App uses your credentials to make API calls directly to AWS on your behalf. We do not store, proxy, or have access to your AWS credentials or data.
You must ensure your IAM policies grant only the permissions you intend. We recommend read-only policies for monitoring.
You acknowledge that write actions (redeploy, scale, reboot, failover) can affect production systems. Use at your own risk.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

The App offers a free tier (Monitor) and a paid tier (Pro) at $4.99/month or $39.99/year.
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Apple's terms govern payment processing, refunds, and cancellation.
A 1-day free trial is available for new subscribers. You will be charged after the trial unless you cancel.
Prices may change with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers keep their current price until renewal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Use the App to violate AWS Terms of Service or any applicable law.
Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or entitlement gating.
Use the App in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair AWS services or third-party systems.
Share your subscription with others (per Apple's standard license terms).

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, icons, and documentation, is owned by Kairo Apps and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. "OpsToolbox" is a trademark of Kairo Apps. "AWS" and related service names are trademarks of Amazon Web Services, Inc. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Accuracy of displayed metrics, costs, or alarm states (data comes from AWS APIs).
Compatibility with all AWS account configurations or IAM policies.
That write actions will execute as expected under all circumstances.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kairo Apps shall not be liable for:

Any damages resulting from write actions performed through the App (redeployments, scaling, reboots, failovers).
Loss of data, revenue, or business interruption caused by actions taken through the App.
AWS service outages, API changes, or credential expiry issues.
Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kairo Apps from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your AWS account activity, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling your subscription.
We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your local data remains on your device until you delete it.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will provide notice through the App or via email if available.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Warsaw, Poland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
